Feature Story

Being a high school student is not always a walk in the park when trying to achieve your goals. At northwestern high school there are challenges and battles that students have to face everyday, such as tests, projects, and homework. For some students the load of work and stress might be more or less depending on what level they are on. There are different class levels like CP, AP, and 101. Some students that take these classes are Lauren Reese, Cole Caterba, Tripp Baringer, and Sarah Bergin who are all or once were AP students. The CP students were Zakia Murdaugh and La'Tara McCullum.

Some of the questions that were asked during these students interviews were, What's the biggest difference between CP and AP?, Does being a AP student effect your social life?, and Do you want to switch? The first two students interviewed were Cole and Tripp but they had very different views on being AP students. Cole stated in his interview that "AP classes don't  allow you to have much of a social life because of the work load and responsibilities, and also that he likes his AP classes and doesn't want to switch back." Tripp on the other hand stated in his interview that "AP classes do not effect your social life."

Sarah stated in her interview that she switched out of AP and now takes 101 classes that better benefit her and the wat she learns. The CP students both said that they are fine with how they are now because they rather pass CP than fail AP, and the work load is way too much to handle so it's very easy to get left behind or not able to catch your grades up. After all the students being interviewed it's clear that AP and CP is more based on how you learn and isn't for everyone.

Malaya Crawford had the summer of a lifetime, Crawford and her friend went on a wonderful cruise to Nassau, Bahamas and to Mexico. They had a fantastic time even though it was Crawford's third time it was her friends first. As the two friend entered onto the boat they see people getting refreshments, in the pool and conversing. An hour after Crawford and friend boarded the ship it started to sail off into the sea. The cruise ship stopped at Nassau first and then off to Mexico. While the two young girls were on this immaculate trip they walked on the beach and went on plenty of tours seeing the beautiful sites. After seeing all the nice sites they went shopping for a little then they boarded the ship and started their way back to America. Crawford says " If I could go back, I definitely would."
